Discovery Journey: Extending Discipleship Exploring Vocation (EDEV)
Discovery journey is a way of finding out more about being a Disciple and areas of ministry in the wider church and society
Purpose
To explore how God might be calling you in a new way.
Four aims
- To reflect on your own story and calling to see where God has called you and is calling you now.
- To resource you to reflect on what you already do as a follower of Christ. To create opportunities to share in the daily Christian experience of others and to reflect on this.
- To explore what it means to be Methodist within an ecumenical context.
- To offer the opportunity to learn more about personal faith.
What is it?
It is informal activity based learning involving visits with time for personal and group reflection.
Who is it for?
- Any with a heart to discover more to faith
- Those considering ways to serve in the church and society
- Those considering new areas of ministry
- Those grappling with issues of personal faith, church & God
Where?
Activities and visits will normally be within the Chester and Stoke on Trent District. Because it is based on visits the location will depend on the visit. Some travel will be required.
How much?
There is no charge for attending the first meeting in September. Should you decide Discovery Journey is for you the fee is £30.
When?
Activities will take place each month from Sept to July with a break for December and April. As far a possible these will be in the evenings.
What others say:

What is involved?

- Experiencing different types of worship and prayer.
