What Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum is About
Englesea Brook is a major Methodist heritage site where visitors can explore the story of Primitive Methodism in the nineteenth century. The museum is often busy and complimentary tea and coffee are always flowing but the success of the museum is based on its emphasis on being a place of contemporary mission and outreach, in which the past acts a springboard for reflection on life as it is now.

Education Development
Englesea Book continues to attract primary schools to its broad range of programmes that give children a positive experience of church life. We continue to expand our educational experiences in ways that make the best possible use of our core collection whilst appealing to an even broader range of people. With this in mind we will further extend our offering to secondary schools and universities but we will also be working with other educational groups such as University of the Third Age. Informal and entertaining educational events are proving to be a success in our 2011 season so we also hope to build on these.

Heritage Services
Monthly heritage services are now an established part of the life of Englesea Brook Chapel & Museum. Ordinarily they take place on the last Sunday of each month from March to October at 2.30 p.m.

Volunteers
The museum at Englesea Brook enjoys outreach to thousands of people but is in desperate need of more volunteers for a huge range of tasks including work with schools, museum duties, conservation work, gardening, librarianship and more. Whether you can offer a day or week or a day a year, please get in touch if you would like to be involved. You will be most welcome.
